Kloud is an innovative water purifier design featuring a handle aligned with the center of gravity to make it easier to handle. This design was tailored for the elderly population who not only have reduced strength but also suffer from decreased bone density making them more likely to succumb to wrist fractures.

Kloud uses simple physics to bring the twisting moment on a person's wrist to zero by alinging the handle with the centre of gravity. The ultimate goal of Kloud is to liberate people from the restraint of their own physical strength and condition.

As part of the ESTEEM entrepreneurship program at Notre Dame I validated the business potential of the Kloud design by conducting market analysis, design and manufacturing research, intellectual property analysis, and 30 customer interviews leading to the incorporation of my new startup company: Usawa Incorporated.

The resulting business plan from my thesis is being used to direct my new startup, which has since gone on to raise over $1300 for initial prototypes, filed a provisional patent, and reached the semi-final of the McCloskey Business Plan Competition 2018.
